NEW PATIENTS
The practice welcomes new patients. Please come to the practice and we will ask you to complete a form for each person wishing to register giving information about their previous GP to enable speedy transfer of your medical records. We will then make an appointment for a medical check for each person wishing to register with the practice. This is one of the most important visits you may make to the doctor. It helps us gain knowledge of your present health and also give you the opportunity to learn about the services we provide. You will allocated a 'usual doctor' when you register, but you can request to see another partner based at the same site if you prefer.

PATIENTS RIGHTS
We aim to deliver the highest quality service, by the most appropriate member of the primary healthcare team. Patients will be treated with courtesy and respect, but in the same way as patients can choose their doctor, the doctors have the right to remove any patient although a reason will be given given if such an action is deemed necessary.

PATIENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
Appointments are at a premium. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep your appointment so we may offer it to another patient.

TEST RESULTS
When the doctor has arranged for laboratory tests to be carried out it normally takes 5-7 working days for the results to be returned to the surgery. Cervical smear results usually take about 3 weeks. It is your responsibility to check that your result is satisfactory.

MATERNITY CARE
All the partners undertake full antenatal and post natal care, which they share with the community midwife.

IMMUNISATIONS AND VACCINATIONS
Routine childhood immunisation clinics are held weekly by appointment.
Fareham Health Centre - Thursdays 2.00pm - 3.20pm
Highlands Medical Centre - Mondays 2.00pm - 3.45pm

BABY CLINICS
If you need to see a Health Visitor you will need to contact reception and make an appointment to do so.
