EMERGENCIES AND URGENT APPOINTMENTS
Please make it clear to us if the problem requires immediate attention and please be prepared to give the receptionist a summary of the problem. If there are no routine appointments available you will be seen at the end of a surgery in an emergency appointment slot - but this will be for your immediate problem only. It may be necessary for you to see one of the other partners in the practice rather than your usual doctor, and this may mean your seeing a doctor who is based at the other site.
HOME VISITS
Please come to the surgery if you possibly can. A doctor can see at least three patients in surgery in the time that it takes to make one home visit. If you are too ill to come to the surgery please contact us before 10.00am (if possible) and ask a doctor to visit. The doctor may telephone you before coming out to see you.
EARLY and LATE CLINICS
Highlands Road Surgery will be open on a Monday and Tuesday night from 6-8pm and on a Thursday morning from 7-9am for patients who have pre-booked appointments with a doctor. Commuter clinic appointments are available to all our patients.
